Chemical pressure gauges, often referred to as chemical gauges, are Bourdon Tube Gauges using high grade steel for their wetted parts (socket, bourdon): MONEL, HASTELLOY or INCONEL to protect the gauge from aggressive or corrosive damage without the need for a diaphragm seal.

Chemical Gauges operate on the principle of elastic deformation of a Bourdon tube. When pressure is applied, the Bourdon tube either expands or contracts, and this movement is translated into a pressure indication on the gauge’s scale.

Chemical gauges are mostly used in the Chemical and Petro-Chemical Sector.
