Working Principle:
The DIMF density/concentration meter is based on the oscillating element principle. The fluid flows through the oscillating element (a tuning fork or tube) that is excited electro-magnetically and will oscillate at its natural frequency. Changes in the density of the fluid lead to changes in the natural frequency. These frequency changes will be picked up by the electronic transducer and converted into a signal proportional to density or concentration.
Application Fields:
for continuous monitoring of density, mass flow measurement, fiscal measurements, quality control, monitoring of waste water, product recognition, dosing, injection or blending of additives, control of chemical reactions, measurement of concentrations, monitoring and control of distillation, filtration, sedimentation, mixing or fermentation processes, process control, measurement of solid percentages in liquids, measurement of foams and suspensions etc.
Bopp & Reuther also offers customized measurement cabinets, compact density units and custody transfer metering skids with inbuilt density measurement.
