How the Deltawave SUF Ultrasonic Gas Flowmeter Works

The Deltawave SUF series utilizes the highly accurate transit-time difference method for precise gas flow analysis:

  1. Pulse Transmission: Ultrasonic pulses are transmitted directly into the gas stream and received back across the path.
  2. The Velocity Principle: The system calculates flow based on acoustic wave behavior; because sound waves travel faster when moving with the gas flow than against it, a measurable transit-time difference occurs.
  3. Flow Calculation: By recording the precise transit times both with and against the flow direction, the internal processor uses this time differential to calculate exact flow velocity and real-time gas flow rates.
