Accurate Gas Measurement anytime – anywhere – Deltawave SUF

The Deltawave SUF multipath ultrasonic gas flowmeter from Systec, Germany puts an end to expensive, complicated gas flow measurement. It has very wide measuring ranges, outstanding accuracy, virtually no drift in the measured values as it is a digital time measurement:

• short inlets – maintenance free – no moving parts
• up to 5 years of continuous operation with just one battery pack
• creeping quantities close to zero, near zero leakage

If there is no power supply, deltawaveSUF will run on the integrated battery for 5 years. It has inbuilt pressure and temperature sensors for compensation. Pressure, temperature, volume flow, standard volume flow and the counter can be read on the large display. Daily and hourly values are safely stored in the integrated data logger.

Ultrasonic gas flow meter: How it works 

The deltawaveSUF gas flow meter is based on the transit time difference method:

Ultrasonic pulses are sent into the gas flow and received again.
These sound waves travel faster in the flow direction than against the flow direction of the gas or medium.

Both transit times – with and against the flow direction – are recorded.
The difference between the two times can be used to calculate the flow velocity and the flow rate of the gas.
