Online Drinking Water Monitoring and Analysis – TW Master

The modular TW Master Series by TriOS is designed for the precise analysis of drinking water quality. It is a collection of compact sensor modules that can be combined and installed in a single row to monitor multiple water parameters simultaneously.

The TW Master Series provides comprehensive and continuous monitoring of key parameters such as turbidity, pH, organic compounds and nutrient concentrations to ensure the purity and safety of drinking water.

Monitored Parameters

  • Turbidity (TW Turb): Uses 90° light scattering (nephelometric principle) according to ISO standards.
  • pH and Conductivity (TW pH / EC): Combined sensor for these two critical parameters.
  • Nitrate (TW NITRATE): For online concentration measurement.
  • Organic Load (TW SAC254): Determination of organic compounds in water.
  • Electrochemistry (TW eCHEM): Supports dissolved oxygen (DO) and free chlorine measurements.
  • Fluorescence (TW Flu): Measures PAH (hydrocarbons) and tryptophan concentrations.

Key Features and Design

  • Modular Architecture: Users can customize their setup by selectingspecific modules for their application needs.
  • Compact Installation: Each module measures approximately 160 mm x 280 mm x 108 mm, allowing for integration into small spaces.
  • Bypass System: All modules can be installed in a row and analyze selected parameters through a single bypass installation.
  • Dynamic Connection: Modules can be swapped or reconfigured in seconds without total disassembly.
  • User Interface: Features a 3.5-inch capacitive color touch display (320×480 pixels) for on-device configuration and data viewing.

Connectivity and Integration

The system integrates with the TW PS300 supply and communication module. It supports multiple digital interfaces for data transfer to existing networks or control systems, including:

  • Modbus TCP via Ethernet (RJ-45).
  • Modbus RTU via RS-485 or USB.
  • Analog Outputs: Optional interface modules provide 4–20 mA signal outputs and relay outputs
