Differential Pressure Flowmeter with Orifice

DP Orifice Plate Flowmeters from Kirchner Germany are manufactured with a wide variety of nominal widths for water, air, transparent and non-transparent liquids and gases and non-conductive fluids (mineral oils, demineralised water).

• Flow range: air 0.5 – 4000 m3/h, water 0.05 – 735 m3/h

The sprinkler orifice plate SMB series is installed in stationary sprinkler systems and has been approved by the VdS damage prevention.

Working Principle

A differential pressure arises at a pipe constriction, which is proportional to the square of the flow rate through the pipe.

The resulting differential pressure can be recorded with a meter and can be directly indicated as flow rate on a scale.
