When pressure is applied to the diaphragm membrane, the filling liquid hydraulically transmits the pressure to the sensing element.

To ensure accurate readings, it is essential that the filling fluid is completely free of trapped air or gas. These contaminants can expand with temperature changes and lead to incorrect pressure measurements.
